Music visualizer for OBS and streaming
Beat Visualizer team
Why browsers work for Twitch and YouTube Live
A streaming music visualizer must be easy to capture, stable over hours, and legible after bitrate squeezes. Beat Visualizer runs in Chromium-based browsers, so you can add it as an OBS Browser Source or capture the window directly.
OBS setup (short version)
- Create a Browser Source.
- Paste your localized URL (e.g.
/en/visualizer) and set width/height to your canvas size. - Route game or music audio so the browser tab receives a signal β virtual cables or mixer monitoring are common patterns.
- Mute the Browser Source in OBS if you only want visuals; audio comes from your main mix.
Mode choices for compression
Busy particle fields can turn into mud at 6000 kbps. Modes with strong silhouettes β matrix, neon rain, laser grid β tend to read better on stream.
Fatigue and CPU
Close unused tabs; Canvas 2D is efficient, but streaming + game + browser still adds up on laptops.
